আজ শুক্রবার ফলতায় অভিষেক বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের বিজয়া সম্মিলনী অনুষ্ঠিত হল। তিনি বলেন 'গতকাল এখানে কর্মসূচি থাকলেও ইডি ডাকায় আসতে পারিনি। তৃণমূলের সঙ্গে না পেরে বিজেপি এজেন্সিকে ব্যবহার করছে। প্রায় ৬ হাজার পাতার নথি ইডি দফতরে জমা দিয়েছি গতকাল। কয়লাকাণ্ডে কিছু না করতে পেরে নিয়োগ মামলায় বারবার ডাকছে। আমার বাবা মা-কেও ছাড়ছে না। ধমকে চমকে দমানো যাবে না। বহিরাগতদের কাছে মাথানত করবো না। তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস সবসময়ে মানুষের পাশে দাঁড়িয়েছে। ধর্ম নিয়ে রাজনীতি করে না তৃণমূল।'

কলকাতা: আইনি সংকটের মাঝে কলকাতা হাইকোর্ট থেকে সাময়িক স্বস্তি পেলেন বিশ্বভারতীর প্রাক্তন উপাচার্য বিদ্যুৎ চক্রবর্তী। আপাতত তার বিরুদ্ধে গ্রেফতারির মত কোন কড়া পদক্ষেপ করতে পারবে না পুলিশ বলে নির্দেশ দিলেন কলকাতা হাইকোর্টের পুজো অবকাশকালীন বেঞ্চের বিচারপতি জয় সেনগুপ্ত। একইসঙ্গে তিনি শান্তিনিকেতন থানার জারি করা নোটিশের ওপর স্থগিতাদেশ দিয়েছেন। পাশাপাশি, আদালতের নির্দেশ ১৪ নভেম্বরের পরিবর্তে প্রাক্তম উপাচার্যকে তাঁর বাড়িতে ২০ এবং ২২ নভেম্বর জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ করতে পারবে পুলিশ। ২০ নভেম্বর ৩ টি মামলা এবং ২২ শে নভেম্বর ২ টি মামলায় বিদ্যুৎ চক্রবর্তীকে জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ করতে পারবে পুলিশ বলে নির্দেশ দিয়েছেন বিচারপতি।
প্রতিটি মামলায় ১ ঘণ্টা করে জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ করা যাবে। বিচারপতির নির্দেশ, শনিবারের মধ্যে বিদ্যুৎ চক্রবর্তীকে এফআইআরের কপি দেবে শান্তিনিকেতন থানা। তবে নতুন করে নোটিশ জারি করে তবেই জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ করতে হবে। বিদ্যুতের আবেদনের প্রেক্ষিতেই বিচারপতি প্রশ্ন করেছেন, মাত্র ১ দিনের নোটিশে ৫ টি মামলায় জিজ্ঞাসাবাদের নোটিশ কিভাবে দেওয়া যায়।
তাঁর বিরুদ্ধে জারি হওয়া পাঁচটি এফআইআর খারিজের জন্য হাইকোর্টের দ্বারস্থ হয়েছিলেন বিদ্যুৎ চক্রবর্তী। তাঁর দাবি, প্রশাসনিক ভাবে সব কিছু সঠিক করার চেষ্টা করছিলাম। তাই শেষ ৫ বছর ধরে আমাকে হেনস্তা করা হয়েছে। ফের আগামী ২৯ শে নভেম্বর এই মামলার পরবর্তী শুনানি হবে।

KKNB : The second edition of the ICC and Nium Next In Hackathon saw 22000 entries registered from 119 countries

The ICC and Nium, the global platform for on-demand money movement, today announced the Next In Hackathon game-changing winning idea by team StumpEye which will provide a groundbreaking wireless stump camera system offering in-depth batting and bowling analysis.
The second edition, saw double the number of registrations that were recorded at the first Hackathon earlier in the year with more than 22,000 entries from 119 countries including Kenya, Nepal and Nigeria.
The ICC and NIUM wanted to harness the world’s brightest minds to create revolutionary ideas for the sport. The teams were challenged to develop ideas across three key areas: fan experience, grassroots cricket and performance analytics.
In an exclusive event held at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai ahead of the Men’s Cricket World Cup semi-final, the winning team StumpEye showcased a prototype that has the potential to transform the cricket experience offering an insightful perspective on the game for grassroots cricketers around the world. The wireless stump camera system will provide unique features: including bringing Decision Review System (DRS) technology to the lower levels of cricket, Coach Connect which will bridge the gap between offsite coaches and players/parents in grassroots cricket and Umpire's Mate which logs important elements of what happens in games. Additionally, the technology offers in-depth batting and bowling analysis.
The Hackathon saw seven passionate shortlisted teams invited to present their concepts and creations to a panel of prestigious judges, Anil Kumble, Next In Hackathon Ambassador; Finn Bradshaw, ICC Head of Digital; Ankit Gupta, NIUM Chief Architect; Jeremiah Glodoveza – NIUM Senior VP, Brand & Communications and Rebecca Hopkins, STA Group CEO. In addition, there were representatives from reputable venture funds and sports organisations to support and provide industry expertise to the teams.
Among the concepts submitted, 42% focused on improving the experience for fans, 35% centred on aiding grassroots cricket and 23% aimed to improve cricket performance through analytics. The registered teams were from a variety of different backgrounds including schools, colleges, corporate business and start-ups, with an average age of 26.
The winning entry from team StumpEye said: “We are so thrilled to win the ICC NIUM Next In 2.0 Hackathon. It's been a tremendous journey for us from an idea that sprung from a personal experience of coaching my son. We wish to sincerely thank the ICC and NIUM for providing us the platform, the opportunity and the chance to express our idea and help us take the big leap! Dreams do come true and ICC and NIUM have just helped us realize that.”
ICC Head of Digital, Finn Bradshaw said,"At the ICC we are always looking for ways to inspire love of cricket. The ideas presented at Next In 2.0 delivered that in abundance. It was so inspiring to see the passion and talent on display from all the finalists. KKNB : I have been thoroughly enjoying the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 and I am highly impressed with some of the performances on show.
As a batter, it has been magnificent to see and I’m not sure fans around the world could have asked for anything better.
Some of the pitches have been really good for run-scoring and we have seen so many high-class performances. There have been the record-breaking centuries from Aiden Markram and Glenn Maxwell, Quinton de Kock has had an amazing tournament and the young man Rachin Ravindra looks an exceptional talent.
There have been a whole host of talented individuals on show but to top them all, you cannot look past Virat Kohli. I am a huge fan of Virat, I have been for a long time, and he continues to show why he has to go down as one of the all-time greats, right up there with the likes of the great Sachin
Virat will have been through some tough times before this World Cup and some folks were even brave enough to call for his head.
Credit must be given to the backroom staff and everyone who backed him. So much was said about his form but he is back on top of his game. It is phenomenal to see an individual who has had his low points bouncing back and playing like this. They say form is temporary – and he has certainly proven that class is permanent. I am so happy for him, he looks so focused and he is a credit to the game of cricket.
Virat is a go-getter and what sets him apart is his mental strength. He will have backed himself throughout, and on the occasions in the past in which I have chatted with him and we have discussed things, his mental strength has always been evident. That has been key to pushing him through to how he is playing now. Very few players, or people, are built like that.
Many people have made comparisons between the two of us over the years, partly because of our shared intensity on the field. I love Virat’s enthusiasm – even if he is fielding at long-on or long-off, when one of his bowlers hits the pad, he is appealing. He is always in the game and I like individuals like that.
Shubman Gill is another who bats with style and he is just one among a whole host of players who have all the big shots. I am just hoping no one forgets there was a guy without a helmet by the name of Vivian Richards who went out and played like that sometimes! Some of the shots played today are those I like to think I had in my armoury, maybe with the exception of the reverse sweep, but that would have been unwise without the lid on. I’d like to think my scoring rate matches up with the guys playing today, though the game has moved on massively – as a fan, I am delighted with where the game is at currently.
In terms of this year’s competition, India have a mindset that they can go all the way playing like this. That absolutely should be their mindset and would be mine if I was in that dressing room – let’s go out with all guns blazing. That approach has worked so far and if that changes, things may go astray.
I believe they can go all the way unbeaten, which is really something to strive for. There may be some fears of ‘we have played so well so far, there may be a bad game around the corner in the semi-final’. They have to try and nullify those and banish any negative thoughts.
Pakistan could yet join them in the knockout stages but I can’t help thinking that with the talent they have, they should have already sealed their spot. I have seen up close in recent years through my coaching work [Pakistan Super League] how much ability exists in that squad but they have made life hard for themselves – I think they are a more talented squad than their place in the table would suggest. They can beat the very best on their day so there may be some punches left in that team.
One of the highlights of this World Cup, for me, has been watching Afghanistan. If they get a score of over 250, the bowling class they have means they are in the game all the time. Although they were denied by an amazing Glenn Maxwell innings against Australia, they have made a real statement in recent weeks and their performances will be inspirational for those who play the game in Afghanistan.
By contrast, it is a shame for the fans in the West Indies that they have not had the opportunity to see their team in action. I am hoping it acts as a wake-up call as it is a competition which means so much to us. The two World Cups we won in 1975 and 1979 remain the highlights of my career.
To make our mark on the global stage and lift the trophy was an incredible feeling. I hope it serves as a reminder to the guys who are playing today and acts as inspiration for them to reach that level.

কলকাতা: সমাধানের পথ এখনও না বের হওয়ায় ফের ইডিকে সমাধান সূত্র বের করতে নির্দেশ দিলেন কলকাতা হাইকোর্টের বিচারপতি অমৃতা সিনহা। এই সময়ের মধ্যে নিম্ন আদালতের নির্দেশ মতো ধৃত জ্যোতিপ্রিয় মল্লিকের দুবার চেক আপ করানোর জন্য সেনার কমান্ডে হাসপাতালকে নির্দেশ দিয়েছে আদালত। পাশাপাশি সেখানে কোন সাধারণ নাগরিক যাতে প্রবেশ না করতে পারে সেটা পুলিশ নিশ্চিত করবে। ফের ১৬ নভেম্বর এই মামলার শুনানি হবে।
নিম্ন আদালতের নির্দেশ মেনে কমান্ড হাসপাতালের পক্ষে জ্যোতিপ্রিয় সহ অন্য কোনও ধৃত বা সাধারণ মানুষের চিকিৎসা করানো সম্ভব নয় বলে হাইকোর্টের দ্বারস্থ হয়েছে হাসপাতাল কর্তৃপক্ষ। কমান্ড হাসপাতালের আইনজীবী অনামিকা পান্ডের বক্তব্য, একজন সেনা যখন আসছেন তখন তাদের সব তথ্য দিতে হয়। কিন্তু এখন প্রচুর বহিরাগত সেখানে চলে আসছে। ফলে সেনার সেই সব তথ্য নষ্ট হতে পারে।
নেভি, অন্যান্য সেনারও এখানে চিকিৎসা হয়। আবার কল্যানী এইমস, সল্টলেকে বিএসএফের হাসপাতাল আছে। রেলওয়ে হাসপাতাল আছে। সেখানে হতে পারে চিকিৎসা বলে আদালতে জানান, কমান্ডের আইনজীবী। কমান্ডের অভিযোগ ইডি যে মামলায় নেই সেই মামলাতেও চোরাকারবারিদের চিকিৎসা পরীক্ষার জন্য কমান্ডে পাঠানো হচ্ছে।

প্রতি একদিন অন্তর, উত্তরে জানান আইনজীবী। ইডি জানায়, দুটি কেন্দ্রীয় এজেন্সি এভাবে বিরোধ করতে পারে না। যখন ডায়গনিসিস লাগবে সেটা সমস্যা হবে। এমস দূরত্বের কারণে সম্ভব নয়। বাকি হাসপাতাল চিকিৎসার জন্য যথেষ্ট প্রস্তুত নয়। বিএসএফে যেতে হাইকোর্টের নির্দেশ নিতে হবে বলে দাবি করেছে ইড।

KKNB : The Event Technical Committee of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 has approved Noah Croes as a replacement for Ryan Klein in the Netherlands squad.
Croes, who has played one ODI, was named as a replacement after Klein was ruled out due to a lower back injury.
The replacement of a player requires the approval of the Event Technical Committee before the player can be officially added to the squad.
The Event Technical Committee of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 consists of Wasim Khan (ICC General Manager – Cricket and ETC Chair), Chris Tetley (ICC Head of Events), Hemang Amin (Acting CEO - BCCI), Gaurav Saxena (General Manager – Operations, BCCI), Russel Arnold and Simon Doull (Independent Representatives).

কথিত আছে, এদিন ধন সম্পদের দেবতা কুবের ও ধনসম্পদের দেবী লক্ষ্মীর বিশেষ পুজো করা হয়। শুধু তাই নয়, এদিন ভগবান ধন্বন্তরীরও পুজো করা হয়ে থাকে। পৌরাণিক কাহিনি মতে, কার্তিক মাসের কৃষ্ণপক্ষের ত্রয়োদশী তিথিতে সমুদ্রমন্থন থেকে অমৃত ভরতি পাত্র নিয়ে আবির্ভুত হন ভগবান ধন্বন্তরী।
আর দিন চারেক পরেই কালীপুজো। তার আগে ১০ নভেম্বর ধনতেরাস। দীপাবলির সূচনা হয় ধনতেরসের হাত ধরেই। হিন্দু ক্যালেন্ডার অনুসারে, এ বছর আগামী ১০ নভেম্বর পালিত হলে ধনতেরস উত্সব। প্রতি বছর কার্তিক মাসের কৃষ্ণপক্ষের ত্রয়োদশী তিথিতে পালিত হয় এই বিশেষ উত্সব।
কথিত আছে, এদিন ধন সম্পদের দেবতা কুবের ও ধনসম্পদের দেবী লক্ষ্মীর বিশেষ পুজো করা হয়। শুধু তাই নয়, এদিন ভগবান ধন্বন্তরীরও পুজো করা হয়ে থাকে। পৌরাণিক কাহিনি মতে, কার্তিক মাসের কৃষ্ণপক্ষের ত্রয়োদশী তিথিতে সমুদ্রমন্থন থেকে অমৃত ভরতি পাত্র নিয়ে আবির্ভুত হন ভগবান ধন্বন্তরী। তাঁরে বিষ্ণুর অবতার বলে মনে করা হয়। দীপাবলির আগে ধনতেরসের দিন ধন্বন্তরীর আবির্ভাব উত্সব হিসেবেও পালন করা হয়। এদিন সোনা ও রূপার গয়না বা জিনিস কেনাকাটারও বিশেষ তাত্পর্য রয়েছে। এদিনের সঙ্গে যোগ রয়েছে কৃষিকাজেরও। কারণ এদিন ধনে বীজ কিনে বাড়ির বাগানে লাগালে লক্ষ্মীর আশীর্বাদ বর্ষণ হয় বলে মনে করা হয়।
ধনতেরসের শুভ মুহূর্ত
পঞ্চাঙ্গ (Panchang) অনুসারে, কার্তিক কৃষ্ণ ত্রয়োদশী তিথি শুরু হবে ১০ নভেম্বর দুপুর ১২টা ৩৫ মিনিটে। চলবে পরের দিন ১১ নভেম্বর দুপুর ১টা ৫৭ মিনিট পর্যন্ত। প্রদোষ সময়কালে ধনতেরাস উত্সব উদযাপনের একটি রীতি রয়েছে, তাই ১০ নভেম্বর শুক্রবারেও পালিত হতে চলেছে।
ধনতেরসে (Dhanteras) লক্ষ্মী পুজোর শুভ সময়
ধনতেরসের সন্ধ্যেয় প্রদোষে গণেশ, লক্ষ্মী (mMaa Laxmi) ও কুবেরের (Kuber) পুজো হবে। এই পুজোর শুভ সময় বিকেল ৫টা ৪৭ মিনিট থেকে শুরু হবে। চলবে সন্ধ্যে ৭টা ৪৭ মিনিট পর্যন্ত। এই অনুসারে, ধনতেরসের পুজোর মোট সময়কাল হবে এক ঘন্টা ৫৬ মিনিট।
ধনতেরাসে সোনা কেনার শুভ সময়
পঞ্চাঙ্গের গণনা অনুসারে, ধনতেরাসে সোনা কেনার শুভ সময় হল দুপুর ১২টা ৩৫ মিনিটে। পরের দিন ১১ নভেম্বর সকাল ৬টা ৪০ মিনিট পর্যন্ত থাকবে শুভ মুহূর্ত। এই সময়ে সোনা বা রূপার জিনিস কিনলে ঘরে সমৃদ্ধি ফিরে আসে, সম্পদ বহুগুণ বৃদ্ধি পায় বলে মনে করা হয়।
